Lip filler in The Woodlands, Conroe, Tomball and north Houston

Many people north of Houston would rather find a lip filler provider close to home than drive into the city. This guide is for The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, Tomball, Kingwood and Humble: how the area fits together, the Texas rules that apply to every provider, and how to compare providers near you.

Blossoming trees and green lawn in a Houston park with towers beyond

Lip Filler Houston is a free referral service, not a clinic or med spa. A request sent from this page goes to an independent provider in the Houston area, who is responsible for their own care and prices.

The Woodlands and its neighbors

The Woodlands is a master-planned community, mostly in Montgomery County with a small part in Harris County. It is governed by The Woodlands Township and is not part of the City of Houston. Spring, Conroe, Tomball, Humble and Kingwood are the other places north of the city that people search from. Kingwood is inside Houston’s city limits; the others are communities of their own.

That matters less than people expect. Whether you live in The Woodlands, Conroe, Tomball or Kingwood, the same Texas rules govern who may inject filler, and the same license lookups let you check a provider before you book.

Who may inject lip filler north of Houston

Texas Medical Board rules (22 TAC 169.25) treat the injection of medication or substances for cosmetic purposes as the practice of medicine. A physician may inject, or may delegate the injection to a qualified nurse, nurse practitioner or physician assistant and supervise the work. In the north Houston suburbs, as in the city, you may meet any of these in a plastic surgery practice, a dermatology office or a med spa with a medical director.

The FDA advises choosing a licensed health care provider with dermatology or plastic surgery experience who is trained in filler injection. The dermal fillers guide explains the different injector types in more detail.

Close to home or in the city

There is no rule that a provider in the Galleria or the Texas Medical Center area is better than one in The Woodlands, or the other way round. What counts is the person treating you and how they work. A few practical points help:

  • Swelling and bruising are common for some days after lip filler, so an appointment near home can be easier on the way back.
  • A Cleveland Clinic overview notes a follow-up is often set about two weeks later. A provider you can reach easily makes that visit simpler.
  • If something worries you afterwards, such as unusual pain or white or blue skin near the lips, the FDA says to get care right away. Ask how to reach the provider after hours, wherever they are.

What happens at a first visit

A Cleveland Clinic overview describes the usual shape. The provider asks about your health and what you hope for, numbs the lips with a cream that takes about 15 to 30 minutes, and gives the injections. Many lip products also contain lidocaine. The whole visit runs 30 minutes to 2 hours, with up to 15 minutes of monitoring afterwards.

Before treatment, tell the provider about cold sores, allergies (including to lidocaine), bleeding problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding. FDA-approved filler uses are for adults, and many lip products are approved for people over 21 or 22.

Products and prices are the same questions here

Providers in The Woodlands and Conroe use the same FDA-approved lip products as providers in the city, such as Restylane® Kysse (Galderma), Juvederm® Volbella® XC (Allergan) and RHA® 3 (Teoxane). Juvederm® is a registered trademark of Allergan, Inc., an AbbVie company. The Juvederm and lip products guide lists each product’s approved use.

Each provider sets their own price. The latest national figure is the American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ 2023 national average surgeon/physician fee of $698 for lip augmentation with injectable materials; it is not a local price. The lip filler cost guide explains what moves a quote. If you only want a small change at the lip border without volume, read about the lip flip.
